OMG

New Yorkers jokingly refer to the Upper West Side as the place where chic downtowners go to get married or die, so it raises a little concern that Fashion Week is rumored to move to Lincoln Center in 2010.

The New York Times is reporting that site management for Bryant Park had been pressuring IMG to move the event because it had grown too large, and this year they finally caved.

Considering IMG also looked at a space above the Port Authority Bus Terminal for the new location, we're not going to complain about Lincoln Center. Still, we wish this wasn't true. "Staging tents on opposite sides of the New York State Theater with a corridor winding between them," the report suggests, "guests might have to walk the equivalent of a city block between each show."

Looks like flats will be in for fall!
